The Project "Belfast" concerns itself with the area
of early Colonial South Carolina, called the "Long Canes" and the associated
Townships of Belfast or Londonborough, New Bordeaux or Hillsborough, and
Boonsborough. The modern area  generally covers the present South Carolina
Counties of : Abbeville, McCormick, Greenwood, and Edgefield.
