Old Soldier Dead
James Broyles died at the residence of his daughter, Mrs. Lewis
Kraus, of lower Third Ave., a week ago last night, aged 68 years.
He had been in failing health for a long time. He served in the
civil war in Capt. Womeldorff's company of the 7th Ohio Cavalry.
He is survived by the following children: Mrs. Sarah Prickett,
of Mercerville, Elmer Broyles, of Clay township, Mrs. Lizzie
Gibson, of this city, Mrs. Lewis Kraus, of this city, and Eli,
of Angel.
The funeral services were held at St. Nicholas church near Yellow
Town. Burial by Wetherholt.
