The nickname Buck comes from the death certificates of two of the
daughters.
Note the birthdates of the twins differ slightly and are in conflict
with the birthdate of Mary Frances.
Susan and Sarah interesting as well. The Monroe Co. birth records
[283] show William reporting the birth of Sarah A. in 1850. In fact,
it's Susan. And Susan's birth is recorded in 1860. It's as if he and
his wife changed the girls' names. But the death record of Susan
at less than two years of age [260], and the census records, are in
agreement that Susan was born in 1858 and Sarah was born in 1860.
