His first wife dying young, Benjamin eventually remarried to Caroline
Waddell but he seems to have moved west by himself because he is found
single in New Mexico in the 1910 and 1920 census. He is not found in the
census of 1900 but Caroline, age 52, might be the boarder in the household
of Osea Broyles of Greene Co., again suggesting that Benjamin is no longer
in Greene Co.
He died in New Mexico but his body was returned to Greene Co. where he is
buried.
