According to [42] Adam had 17 children, including two additional
sons, Adam and Samuel.

Note that there were several men of the name Adam Broyles in East
Tennessee at the same time.

1790...1799 - Adam Broils/Broyles, is on the tax lists of
Washington Co., TN. He is usually taxed for no land, except in
1795 when he is taxed for 100 acres. [56]

1797 - Samuel Broyles sells 95 acres on the west bank of
Little Limestone Creek, Washington Co., to Adam Broyles, Jr. [1]
This is reflected in the tax lists of 1799 where Adam is taxed
for 95 acres, instead of for no land; Samuel is taxed for 145
acres instead of his usual 240 acres. [56]

19 Feb 1800 - Adam Broyle, of Washington Co., sells 94 acres to
Samuel Broyls. [1] In the 1801 tax lists, Samuel is again
taxed for 240 acres. [56]

            - Adam moves from Washington Co. to Greene Co.

23 Apr 1800 - Adam Broyles buys 200 acres on Camp Creek, Greene
Co., TN, from Adonijah Morgan. wit: Daniel Broyles, Samuel
Broyles, Thomas Broyles. [1]

1815 - Adam Broils is taxed for 194 acres on Camp Creek.
[1]

10 Apr 1816 - Adam writes his will. wit: James H. Davis, Susanna
Parson. The will is given at [3]1:37

23 Apr 1816 - The will is probated, Greene Co., TN. Samuel
Broyles was named executor, but failed to qualify, so it was
given to William Broyles (probably his son). [3]1:37 Was this
Adam's brother Samuel? If my aunt is correct, this could be the
son named Samuel.

19 Oct 1819 - Polly Broyles, formerly Polly Walker of Greene Co.,
TN, sells land on Cherokee Creek, Washington Co., TN, to Elias
Walker. This land was claimed by Polly Broyles as heir of Elias
Walker, Sr. [1] Note that she and Adam had a son named Elias,
certainly in her father's honor.

10 Dec 1825 - According to [3]2:115, daughter Nancy marries in
Madison Co., Va.

    c. 1828 - Mary Ann Broyles is taxed for 144 acres on Camp
Creek. [1]

1844 - Mary Broyles, widow, is taxed for 144 acres on Camp
Creek, Greene Co., Tenn. [1]
