to Samuel Broyls.
7 Sep 1797 - Nicholas sells to son Abraham land on Little
Limestone, joining Cyrus [1] wit: Tobias Broils, Daniel Broils.

19 Sep 1797 - Abraham Broyle witnesses a land sale between
Nicholas Broyles and heirs of Rheuben Broyles. [3]3:121
19 Sep 1797 - He witnesses sale of Cyrus to Daniel Broyles,
Tobias Broyles, Rosanna Broyles. [3]5:26
19 Sep 1797 - Abraham Broyles witnesses the sale of 1/2 acre on
the Little Limestone to Rosanna, widow of Reuben, from Cyrus
Broyles.
26 Oct 1798 - Abraham Broyles sues James Penney and Daniel
Kennedy. A jury of 12 men finds in his favor to the tune of
$247.06. [15]:72 A new trial was granted, but he won again.
There is no indication what the suit was with regard to, but it
was likely to involve a land claim. Capt. James Penney was
involved in many court actions during this period, and Daniel
Kennedy was probably the Daniel Kennedy who was known as the
'father of Greene Co.' and was a famous local military and
political figure.
1790...1801 - Abraham is taxed for 100 acres in Washington Co.,

15 Aug 1806 - Nicholas sells to son Abraham Broyles one negro
girl. wit: Samuel Broyle, Thomas Broyle [3]3:121
20 Oct 1806 - Abraham Broyles sells 100 acres to Adam Broyles,
apparently the land he bought in 1797. [1]
- He moves to Greene Co., TN.
1810,1813 - Taxed for 325 acres in Greene Co., TN, on Cedar
Creek. [1]
c. 1813 - He moves to White Co., TN, and settles on Cherry
Creek. [1]
- John and Abraham Broyles were early settlers of
Cherry Creek. [55]:8
1820 - The census shows him as owning five slaves.
15 Jan 1822 - Thomas Scott makes his will in White Co., TN, and
bequeathes his estate to his "beloved children Jonathan Scott and
Hannah Broiles, wife of Abraham Broiles." He also names Abraham
Broiles and Jonathan Scott executors of his estate. Though the
will is listed as that of Thomas Scott, it is signed Jonathan
Scott. [3]1:136
Oct 1823 - Inventory of Abraham's estate is presented by
George Broyles and Hannah Broyles, administrators. White Co.,
TN. [1]
Jul 1830 - Thomas Scott's will is probated in White Co., TN.
