There's a little bit of doubt about Cyrus's record.  In the 1860
census his birth year is given as 1852.  He is not present in
the 1850 census.  It now appears he was born in 1850 just after
the census was taken.

Various accounts on the internet have him misplaced in the family,
either as a son of William R. (impossible because of age), or
John Briles (whose children are known with confidence).
